5 APC Chieftains That Deserve Federal Appointment From President Buhari

It is almost one year since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed office as Nigeria’s number one citizen and many in the All Progressives Congress (APC) are worried that the president is yet to fully draft the party members into his government. The president’s body language has left many in the APC wondering if the president will ever compensate many of the party’s chieftains who were his foot soldiers during the electioneering period. Below is a list of 5 chieftains of the ruling party who deserve to be compensated with federal appointments for their sacrifice to the APC by President Buhari.

 

1. Olurinimbe Mamora: He was the deputy director of operations of the APC presidential campaign council before the 2015 general elections. 

 

2. Sam Nda-Isaiah: In 2002, he and a few others of like minds formed The Buhari Organisation (TBO) to promote Buhari’s aspiration to the presidency and he was appointed deputy director-general. The TBO was an organization within the ANPP (All Nigeria Peoples Party) then. He was also a foundation member of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) before the fusion into APC.

 

3. Osita Okechukwu: He is the APC south-east geopolitical zone spokesperson and he has done his job with an unmatched zeal and commitment. A staunch loyalist of the president, Okechukwu is one of those that has been in the opposition for long and played his role well in a region that was largely controlled by the then ruling party. He represented the CPC in the merger committee that led to the formation of the APC.

 

4. Umana Okon Umana: He fought a good fight in Akwa Ibom state and succeeded to lay a strong foundation for the APC in the South south state. 


5. Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo-Waziri: He is the national youth leader of the APC. He has also been helping the party by mobilizing young Nigerians for the party. Jalo-Waziri was also a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the president’s election.
