President Goodluck Jonathan has been criticised for sleeping over the activities of Boko Haram insurgents in the North Eastern Nigeria and allowing same to escalate. The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM, Alhaji Bashir Yusuf, who stated this at the weekend said, the president misinterpreted the activities of the insurgents as religious and one targeted to frustrate his administration.

The party chieftain also regretted that the administration of President Jonathan administration was characterised with corruption, poverty, unemployment, injustice, gun trafficking, frustration, struggle against inequality, and general poor governance. Bashir said, the killings in the North was enough reason to have a change of government. The party chieftain said although it won't be easy for Buhari to fix the country, his track records will bring changes over time.
