The President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari has started feeling the heat of leadership as pressure is on him over ministerial nominees. According to a top party source, the party had requested three nominees from each state to enable General Buhari make final decision, but this plan appears being scuttled by some leaders of the APC who aided Buhari's victory, as some of them wants to handpick the ministers in a bid to reap where they have sown.
Among these leaders are Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, some oil moguls and APC state governors, among others. Top on the list of nominees for minister include the former CBN governor, Professor Charles Soludo, believed to be Obasanjo's nomination, being considered for the Ministry of Finance. Sources said Tinubu is opposed to Obasanjo's nomination. Prof Tam David West and Prof. Bath Nnaji are also among top nominees.
