The Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi has threatened to use the full weight of the law to deal with Senator Rasheed Ladoja, the Accord Party governorship candidate who lost to him in the last election, should he misbehave or instigate violence in the state. The governor said it was surprising that the Accord party has been complaining it would head to court after all the Accord party agents signed result sheets at the polling units except at the final collation centre.

Senator Rashidi Ladoja was quoted to have threatened to let his party members loose if assaulted by fellow politicians at a meeting with his party members on Tuesday. Governor Ajimobi said the accord party did not even meet the statutory requirement of 25 percent and he is therefore prepared for any court case.
