The newly elected President of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammdu Buhari, on Wednesday assured the citizens of Nigeria that he would not betray the confidence reposed in him by them and 2015 will be a glorious year in Nigeria's political history. Speaking when a delegation from Taraba, led by the All Progressive Congress governorship candidate, Senator Aisha Alhassan, paid him a visit, Buhari said it took a lot of sacrifice on the part of Nigerians to achieve the present political success as some even lost their lives in the process.

Mr Buhari assured that when the government of the APC is finally put in place, it will be a broader one. While thanking the delegates for the sacrifices they made in ensuring his success, the former military ruler promised to fight for free and fair elections in the next four years.
