Dasuki Re-Arrested After He Was Granted Bail

Former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki, was yesterday re-arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS), shortly after he was released from the Kuje Prison in Abuja. The former NSA is standing trial in three different courts in Abuja for allegedly diverting about $2 billion meant for arms purchase.

He was earlier arraigned by the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC but he was granted bail last week along with former Sokoto State governor, Attahiru Bafarawa and his son, Sagir, as well as a former NNPC top official, Aminu Baba Kusa. Ahmed Raji (SAN), Dasuki’s lawyer, confirmed his re-arrest to journalists.
