The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, will soon invite the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, for interrogation over alleged money laundering. The anti-graft agency also described Metuh's claim on Tuesday that that his life was under threat as "unnecessary and an attempt to pre-empt his arrest." An operative of the EFCC while speaking to ThisDay said, "We have been able to establish that two of his registered companies were used to launder money for some key members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He has several questions to answer. And we will soon invite him officially for interrogation.

Metuh had on Tuesday alleged plans by the Federal Government to silence him as the opposition's spokesperson. The PDP spokesman had claimed that though he carried out some assignment relating to his office for former President Goodluck Jonathan which the latter funded, he never had any contract dealings with the immediate past federal government or any of its security apparatus.
