Yoruba leaders and the Governor of Ondo State, yesterday, said President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war would do little in solving the problems facing Nigeria. The leaders noted that the Nigeria Federation must be restructured, and therefore called on the Buhari-led government to immediately implement the 2014 National Conference, which they said was the only instrument that can bring peace and progress to the nation. At the end of the second edition of Yoruba Summit held in Akure, Ondo State which has the theme, "Economic Downturn and Unemployment in Yorubaland," the leaders issued a communique signed by chairmen of Yoruba Unity Forum, (YUF), Gbonigi, Afenifere, Pa. Reuben Fasoranti, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams and Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) and Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo.

The leaders in the communique stated that there was need to urgently restructure the federation, noting that the unrest in some parts of the country, particularly the ongoing agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) could only be resolved if the the administration of Buhari is ready to implement the 2014 Confab report.
