A 29-year-old gate-keeper identified as Taoridi Usman, who allegedly raped his employer’s 11-year-old daughter was on Monday docked at an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos. Police prosecutor, Sgt. Jimah Iseghede, told the court that the accused, being a gate man in the victim’s house, lured the under-aged girl into his room at the gatehouse and defiled her on Nov. 29.
The offence, the prosecutor said, contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The accused pleaded not guilty. The accused was granted bail by the Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned to Jan.6, 2016 for mention.
