RELEASE NNAMDI KANU! Thousands Of Pro-Biafra Protesters Ground Abia

Pro-Biafra protesters yesterday grounded activities in the commercial city of Aba, Abia State. The protesters under the the umbrella of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), were protesting the incarceration of their leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, by the Department of State Security. Kanu is standing trial on a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, intimidation and belonging to unlawful society.

The protesters though peaceful in their conduct, took over major roads like Aba-Owerri Road, Azikiwe Road, Faulks Road, Tonimas, Aba-Ikot Ekpene Expressway, preventing free flow of traffic. The secessionists, it was gathered, went round major markets in Aba and warned traders against opening for business. The protesters who were still on the street at about 5pm since 7am when they started out said they won't relent until Kanu is released unconditionally.
