The Queen of England, Elizabeth Alexandra; President Muhammadu Buhari; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); at least 20 state governors; ministers and other dignitaries are to attend the coronation of the new Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II. Speaking at a press conference, the Chairman, Media Committee of the coronation, Mr. Biyi Odunlade, however, said the queen might be represented at the ceremony.
Oba Ogunwusi who was represented at the press conference by his elder brother, Prince Adegboyega Ogunwusi, said, everything possible to address the challenge of unemployment in the ancient town would be done by him. Ogunwusi, who donated 50 transformers to some communities in Ife before he emerged as the new Ooni, said he would donate additional 50 transformers within the next 30 days to boost electricity supply in the ancient town. The new mornach also spoke of plans to revamp the stadium and set up a football academy adding that there will be 16 clubs in Ife. Ogunwusi prayed that everyone will witness the transformation by the very special grace of God. The coronation is scheduled for December 7.
