The Department of State Services has been ordered to allow former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), to travel abroad for medical treatment. The Federal Hight Court in Abuja, delivering its ruling on Friday, on the fundamental rights enforcement suit lodged against the Federal Government by Dasuki, also summoned the Attorney-General of the Federation to appear before it on Monday to explain why the government refused to allow the former NSA travel, despite the permission granted him by the court.

Counsel to the FG, Shuaibu Labaran had said Dasuki refused to honour an invitation sent to him on November 4 to appear before the DSS. Justice Ademola Adeniyi, however, advised the Federal Government to wait for Dasuki to return from his medical journey.
