Men of the Department of State Security (DSS) on Thursday laid a fresh siege at the Abuja home of the former National Security Adviser, Retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki. Although, it is not yet clear why the fresh occupation is taking place, there are strong indications that Dasuki is being prevented from traveling outside the country to seek medical attention.

Dasuki is currently standing trial for illegal possession of arms and money laundering, following a siege to his home and subsequent arrest in July. Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja had on Monday granted Mr Dasuki permission to travel abroad for medical attention pending the commencement of his trial on the November 26 and 27, 2015.
