The National Youth Service Corps management, NYSC, has explained why some of the recently discharged Batch C corps members are yet to be paid their entitlements for September and October. According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the management of the scheme attributed the delay to failed bank transactions and the inability of banks to reprocess payment.

Some of the corps members had last week, taken to the media to protest their unpaid two months salaries, with others claiming they have not been paid almost 8 months entitlement. They alleged that their entitlements have been diverted. The management, however, absolved itself of the allegation, saying that the Scheme forwarded the money on time in order for the recent out-gone corps members to be paid. The scheme further blamed the delay in crediting the accounts of the affected corps members on failed banking operations.
