Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has taken a swipe at the Saudi Arabian government, for blaming Africans for the recent tragedy in Mecca, which led to the death of over 717 persons.

The Saudi government of Saudi Arabia had in a statement over the Mecca stampede blamed the African nationalities for the incident. Reacting to the statement, Fani said the country was only being callous. Fani-Kayode on his Facebook account wrote: “717 souls perish in a stampede during hajj and instead of expressing regret a Saudi Arabian prince blames ‘African nationalities’ for the tragedy? How callous can these Arabs be."
