Two More Former Governors Arrested by EFCC

For alleged corruption related offences, the The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has incarcerated a former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, and a former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako (retd), and his son, Abdulazeez. The trio were arrested Tuesday evening and are billed to appear in court on Wednesday.


The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, has confirmed the arrest of the two former governors and Nyako’s son. It will be recalled that a former governor of Jigawa state, Mr. Sule Lamido and his two sons were also arrested on Tuesday by the anti-corruption agency.
