Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the state house in Abuja on Friday, April 29. Governor Ambode applauded President Buhari for his foreign trips which he said would benefit the country. He noted that the trips were meant to usher in foreign investment to the country and he said this will soon start yielding results.
Ambode commended President Buhari for his purposeful leadership to restore Nigeria’s position as a leading one and that his recent trip to China and the profitable discussions will move Lagos and the rest of the country forward. He noted that the investment pact signed with the Chinese government will benefit the people of Lagos, especially with the coming of the Lagos-Kano Rail Project and the Lagos Metro-rail project expected to cost about $2.5billion. He said the visit was to thank President Buhari for his plans for Nigeria and especially Lagos state.
